Medusa the misunderstood
I had a dream about Medusa and she told me a very interesting story. Medusa wanted the world to know that her eyes reveal the darkness in our hearts. It is not her that petrifies the being, It is their shadow self that they engage with and in disbelief of the density of their own darkness that turns them into stone. Her eyes are like the mirrors for the souls to see their true reflection. She reveals you to yourself, your inner world will be opened up and you will have no choice but to see.
Medusa allows you to meet your shadow. You can be empowered and set yourself free or you can stunt your own growth and evolution through denial. Either way the beauty lay’s in the eyes of the beholder.
Proud as a Peacock
This peacock reminds me of the power of vision. The many eyes on the feathers allows us to move through life in knowing that we can empower ourselves with confidence. We cannot see the roots that sustains the tree which the peacock stands on but we can admire the beauty that comes from the strength of the limbs. Neither the peacock or the tree are questioning the inner strength of each other. It just is!
Cthulhu
The great old one that lays beneath, the subconscious. The one that runs everything but moves nothing. The power of the mind and its many creations that never make it from force to form. The one that lays unrest in the atlantic ocean as our gift and talent lay beneath waiting to be unleashed.
I see God
I see God in this moment. The inspiration for this painting came from a dream I had of a friend ( who wrote a song called “ See God” It was one of those dreams where you see a timeline right before you experience it. Sometimes when we are overwhelmed with emotions it’s good to find a way to transmute the energy into something uplifting and repurpose the energy.
The Eve Gene
Some people see the world in Black and White, while others contain and sustains it all. I am the beginning and the end. I am the Mitochondrion.
The Great rebirth
It is darkest before the dawn, this piece represents a dream of rebirth and ascension of a stolen Legacy. She has always known who she is and what she represents but there was a time when her hiding was her greatest weapon. Now she is risen and her resurrection is Golden.

THE LUCID DREAM WALKER…….
My first inspiration for art came from a dream I had on my late father’s birthday on October 9th 2021. In the dream he gave me a gift in my hand and when I awake that morning I had a really strong urge to paint. I had no idea at the time where that feeling even came from. All I know is that I wanted to paint really bad. So I sent my eldest son to get me some paint and canvas. My first painting, I drew the girls eye closed and I remember how intimidated I felt trying to open her eyes with the paint brush. It felt so important for me to paint her eyes open. As her eyes started coming to life, so did my skills with the canvas and brush. I am self taught I have not taken any painting lessons . My ideas come through dreams and mediations and days in the life, while living. I have been painting since that day I had that dream with my dad. it’s not until about a week later I had time to process that all this happen on the night of my dads birthday. It’s almost like he gave me a gift .Nine months after on July 9th I had my first show at Railroad park. It was that day of the show I realized, I had birth and idea so I called the event my “baby shower”. Three months after that I did another big showing at the conjure fest in Birmingham. I am just an Island girl who discovered that she loves to paint and I am so grateful that I have an opportunity to share my gift from my dad with the world.
